Estimated due dateChoose a date to calculate

Dream2Birth uses dates as planning support, not as medical advice or a guarantee of when birth will happen.

How due dates are usually estimated

A common pregnancy due date estimate is 40 weeks from the first day of the last menstrual period. Some families use an early scan date or a date given by their care team instead.

Dream2Birth treats the due date as a planning anchor for weekly guidance, appointments, notes and preparation. It is not a guarantee of when birth will happen.

What to do with the date

  • Use it to set up the current pregnancy week.
  • Bring the date into appointment planning and scan records.
  • Adjust the date if a midwife, GP or obstetrician gives updated guidance.
  • Avoid making medical decisions from an app estimate alone.

Care-team note

If dates are uncertain, cycles are irregular, fertility treatment was involved or scan dating differs from period dating, ask a qualified care provider which date to use.
